Good Morning All. 52° and clear around here. Temperatures supposed to be in the 70's again today, perfect day for voting here in North Central TX. Dropped a couple of grand $$$ yesterday at the dentist office for two remaining crowns. It irritates me that I still have to pay the same for teeth cleaning as a person with all natural teeth when I have numerous crowns and implants. My teeth will outlast me now. After the dentist, I spent more time on the remodeling, minor setback as I wait for my wife to clean out the medicine cabinet so that I can remove it to put the new wall behind it. It was a bit harder yesterday because I couldn't hold the finishing nails with my lips while working because my mouth was numb! So I finished mowing the last acre and a half of the yard instead. Today's outdoor project is cutting up some more firewood from branches that I pruned off trees last spring. My current guesstimate is that I have enough wood already cut to heat the house until late January, with enough branches/deadwood to finish the season.
Later out in the train shed, it was back to the fence for a bit. I glue the mesh to a couple of poles and do other stuff while it dries. I tend to get into something else and forget to go back until the next day!
I also spray-painted about 10' of track/ties in advance of ballasting it today. I am hoping to be able to find enough time to make a major push on ground cover in the upcoming weeks. I really need to reduce other life activities and concentrate on the layout. During the last week, I ran every one of my 70 active diesels for a few laps to ensure that they were all ready for the upcoming winter season. There are a couple that ended up on the RIP track, but I did fix that Bachmann one to put back into service. There's at least ten others residing in a box under the layout somewhere, mostly Tyco and like ones.
Here's a picture that I ran across yesterday. I did an entire build thread on the Bar Mills laser cut kit "Wicked Wanda's" a couple of years ago.

Here is a recent picture of it planted on the layout. I use it as a rooming house instead of a "bawdy house".
The outbuilding is a NuComp (no longer in business) structure, fence and propane tank are scratchbuilds.
Johnny - That farm area is coming along nicely. Continued prayers for Dena.
Curt-
I pulled a bonehead mistake applying the shingles initially on the flat roof in the wrong direction.
At least it wasn't on your house!
Printing Company looks layout ready. Looking real good.
Besides being Election Day, today is National Nachos Day. Easy to make and delicious to eat.
Everybody have a great day and be sure to vote often.
