Boris: Just read your comments about soldering under the table. Why not wire everything top side and run the wires down to a terminal. Much easier than soldering looking up.

Ludlow CA. Just met a BNSF TRAILER/ CONTAINER with 5 pulling, 2 mid, and 2 pushing.
Longest f **ing train I have ever seen.

Another photo but closer to the station .... The double crossover is next to the GN E units.

Great photo! Can I talk you into posting that one in the photo gallery as well?

BTW, I really like how the forum software handles quotes, you no longer have to scroll through a big long line of stuff to find the reply. They've sure got some nice features in version 2.

Bob. Thanks for asking. Gallery posting was different than in here last time I did that. I’ll have to recall how. I don’t keep photos in the hard drive of the computer . I have them in Flickr . Recent photos have been with iPhone and moved directly into Flickr . Right now I’m posting from iPhone. Look Ma; no computer. LOL.

(Actually I do use the computer when posting here from Flickr)

Rail Traffic is sure heavy today. We have not reached the Amboy cutoff and see five westbound after that long one!

Agreed. Unfortunately for me, I was in such a hurry to see the railroad run, that I ran all of my feeds as jumpers carrying rail current. The next several modules will follow your advice. When I run the Buss, I will use terminal connectors to minimize soldering on the existing part. As usual, I took a simple task, and complicated it for myself.

Sherrel: Sounds like you are having a great trip, so far. Those Intermodal freight trains can be enormous. Be safe, and enjoy yourself.

Natasha thanks everyone who sent birthday greetings.

Bob: This software works very well, and has all sorts of features we lacked before. Thanks for your extra efforts.

Ken: I see you changed your handle also. After all who wants to be a slug ;) Like it!

Garry: The crossover view, facing the station, reminds me of the Pennsy approach to Chicago's Union Station. All that is missing is some PRR equipment. (Hint) ;)

Evening All,

Made it down to the LHS today and picked up 4 packages of the 6 I needed of the 2x8's. I guess I will have to order them with the rest of the stuff for the build after the first of the month. After getting home I cut the strips in 10' lengths and stained them. Tomorrow I will start gluing them down. Daughter called and cancelled bringing the grand kids today.

Ken- I see your new screen name and good luck with the crossing guards.

Joe- Great looking hopper.

Bob- Thanks for all the work on the forum.

Sherrel- Safe travels and I hope you took out a second mortgage for fuel on your trip.

Garry- All your track work is very well thought out and executed.

Greg- Thanks for the electrical correction. I had forgotten that I made long leads to support my lighted passenger train.

I hope everyone has a good night.

OK, if you're linking to those on Flickr, it would be different. For the gallery you have to upload the files here. It would be great to see you do that with some of you best ones, and the new software has made it easier. But I can understand how it is more difficult.

I'd really suggest you keep copies locally. Things can change, even with big companies. SmugMug just bought Flickr. I can't believe they'd be stupid enough to delete everyone's images, but who knows what they'll do and when. Maybe some day they'll decide to close it.

Buy an external hard drive and keep copies of your images there. That way you're in control of your photos.

Had a photo to add,but message said it was too large (have to add to laptop first to reduce)
Twin Arrows casino just east of Flagstaff.
494 miles ... Several stops for the dogs.
Somewhere east of Albuquerque tomorrow.

The dimensions on longer matter (Height x width) as the forum will downsize it as need bit. However, the overall size is still limited to 1 MB for now. I am working with the forum people on methods to resize larger files, but so far all of the options involve services with monthly fees.

You can email the photo to yourself, and choose the smaller size option when you send it. When you get it back in the mail, it should be small enough to post here. No computer required.

Good morning, it's mostly clear and 46.
Starting Monday, the city is going around picking up large, bulky items that won't fit in our approved garbage cans. I decided this year I'd get rid of the old shtuff that's been hanging around for years, so I put out all the old wahsers and dryers, and other junk that's been sitting in the basement, attic, and garage. I put all of it out, and almost immediately our neighbors called our landlord to tell him we were moving out.
Gossip--it's what's for dinner...

BOB -- don't fret over my blunder! My stupid phone will not allow me to downsize a photo to less than 3=4MB, so on the laptop I have a re-size program (quick and easy) ... I just forgot to use it!
None the less - as wife was driving I tried to email the photo to the laptop and in the process my fatfinger hit the delete instead and low and behold the photo disappeared - strange, LOL.
Oh Well - just a photo of a sign where we stopped to let the dogs have a sniff -- it said, "Please do not discharge your weapon wuthin a quarter mile of another house".
I knew in a flash that we were no longer in CA!

It's freezing at the casino this morning - had to fire up the heater== 33 degrees at the moment.
Wife's still sleeping elsewise I'd "suck in" the popouts and hit the road!

Good morning y'all! 53 and Sunny on Sunday!

Sherrel: Leaving California is known to the State to be a cause of Cancer. .You have been warned!

Terry: Sounds like something some of my neighbors would do...although most of the pretentious ones have either moved on, died out or lost interest.
