Good, Saturday afternoon, fellow Gandy Dancers friends,
Hello Flo and Francine, glad to see you ladies are keeping this Old 34' shorty Rail Coach up inside and that we found an old abandoned siding to park, 'Jeffrey Running bears', Dinner on for you! It's also good that the location is convenient for all of us!
It's starting to get hot again and will be for a while unfortunately, I was hoping that maybe the cooler days and nites were going to stay as part of the start of the cool down process for an early sign that fall is coming. Giving it some thought, it may not be all that wishful thinking after all as many of the Oaks on my place, I have several hundred of them, are starting to shed many of their leaves which seems rather early and might indicate an early fall season?? Although this area is quite a ways behind on what should be our normal rainfall and I'm sure that doesn't help either.
Lets see what WW says: Clear & 93.6 °F - Feels Like 90 °F;
Winds are from SSW at 5.3 mph;
The Humidity is, 'not currently available,' but prior it was 19% if I remember correctly?
Something of interest about this weather report is that it is suppose to come from a location very close to where I'm at, about two miles away which is a close distance for this area.

I go right by the back entrance on Rd. 416 just before it 'T's' into Hwy 41, yet when I called over there the manager doesn't seem to know anything about it?? I would assume the instrumentation must be in someones structure. The elevation is about correct from my estimation as my elevation is 1,875' which I obtained from a topo map of the area and I climb up in elevation by about 200' and then drop about 400' before I getdting to the back gate of SKP
RR'ing wise:
Not too much going on but I did get out into my garage about 1:00 Pm this morning and slowly ran my Old Time 'White Pass & Yukon Timber Company' Climax back and forth from the lower level, where it was parked fouling the main line [shush], at about the start of the Five Oaks Station but I need to build another Left hand turnout to make the connection. So I ran it from that lower location around the climb to the upper location of the Horseshoe Meadow station, by it and continue on till I was even with the lower location but above and behind it. Probably about 55' of main line.
Speaking of beer, here is a photo of my wife and I, posing in front of one of the USS Arizona's anchors:

Say Terry: Nice shot, good to see you both.
Say Ken: Good to finally see your picture. You look fine so stop being so critical of yourself, ok! It's interesting to note that many individuals are a lot more critical of their own picture than others are. I'm also like that and have been in photography for years. We are who we are.
There I am, sometime today I will get all my train stuff out of the boxes & send pics of it for you guys (& of course gals).

Say GR: Welcome to the forums here and the coffee shop, and thanks for posting your picture, it's always nice to know who we are talking to/with. It will be great to get a better idea of what old stuff you have and if your going to model in that scale or not. Your space and your desires will play a part in that depending on what your thinking about doing?
There are lots of knowledgeable folks on the forum and we even had/have a lady that is very good at figuring out how signals should be set up. Your time period also determines the signals to a large extent. As for my early time period 1890's to 1915, there were next to no signals around other than the Whistle from each Locomotive.
Anyway it will be good hear/see what you have planned.
Talk with you later.
