Always admired the Marty avatar you got! He was great! "You get that one and I'll take the one in the Turban!" Gotta love The Marty!

Yes, my favorite role of his was as Igor ("Eye-gur") in Young Frankenstein. It was a tragedy that he died at such an early age.

Too true, the good go first. Just took a jump-start action mode action and ordered a crapton of junk from various places. An Engine,(a small peco switcher) and had to get a railgun and some track and a couple cars that caught my eye. Probly paid too much but I got (I hope I will get) what I wanted. I sensed a stall coming on and when this actually shows up I will go into a frenzy action mode and get some work done. Kind of bound up at the moment, all available space is LOADED with stuff that needs to leave the property, can't really do much more till I get that dumpster delivered and filled and gone. I need that so I can get rid of the last little bit that is in my way.

Good, Saturday afternoon, fellow Gandy Dancers friends,
Hello Flo and Francine, glad to see you ladies are keeping this Old 34' shorty Rail Coach up inside and that we found an old abandoned siding to park, 'Jeffrey Running bears', Dinner on for you! It's also good that the location is convenient for all of us!

It's starting to get hot again and will be for a while unfortunately, I was hoping that maybe the cooler days and nites were going to stay as part of the start of the cool down process for an early sign that fall is coming. Giving it some thought, it may not be all that wishful thinking after all as many of the Oaks on my place, I have several hundred of them, are starting to shed many of their leaves which seems rather early and might indicate an early fall season?? Although this area is quite a ways behind on what should be our normal rainfall and I'm sure that doesn't help either.

Lets see what WW says: Clear & 93.6 °F - Feels Like 90 °F;

Winds are from SSW at 5.3 mph;
The Humidity is, 'not currently available,' but prior it was 19% if I remember correctly?

Something of interest about this weather report is that it is suppose to come from a location very close to where I'm at, about two miles away which is a close distance for this area.

'Coarsegold, CA., SKP Park Sierra | Report |
Report Station
Elev 1677 ft 37.21 °N, 119.72 °W | Updated 13 minutes ago'

I go right by the back entrance on Rd. 416 just before it 'T's' into Hwy 41, yet when I called over there the manager doesn't seem to know anything about it?? I would assume the instrumentation must be in someones structure. The elevation is about correct from my estimation as my elevation is 1,875' which I obtained from a topo map of the area and I climb up in elevation by about 200' and then drop about 400' before I getdting to the back gate of SKP

RR'ing wise:
Not too much going on but I did get out into my garage about 1:00 Pm this morning and slowly ran my Old Time 'White Pass & Yukon Timber Company' Climax back and forth from the lower level, where it was parked fouling the main line [shush], at about the start of the Five Oaks Station but I need to build another Left hand turnout to make the connection. So I ran it from that lower location around the climb to the upper location of the Horseshoe Meadow station, by it and continue on till I was even with the lower location but above and behind it. Probably about 55' of main line.

Speaking of beer, here is a photo of my wife and I, posing in front of one of the USS Arizona's anchors:

Say Ken: Good to finally see your picture. You look fine so stop being so critical of yourself, ok! It's interesting to note that many individuals are a lot more critical of their own picture than others are. I'm also like that and have been in photography for years. We are who we are.

Say GR: Welcome to the forums here and the coffee shop, and thanks for posting your picture, it's always nice to know who we are talking to/with. It will be great to get a better idea of what old stuff you have and if your going to model in that scale or not. Your space and your desires will play a part in that depending on what your thinking about doing?

There are lots of knowledgeable folks on the forum and we even had/have a lady that is very good at figuring out how signals should be set up. Your time period also determines the signals to a large extent. As for my early time period 1890's to 1915, there were next to no signals around other than the Whistle from each Locomotive.

Anyway it will be good hear/see what you have planned.

Talk with you later.

Say Garry: I sure hope Shelly has a good grip on the handle of that Ax, it looks rather threatening to me!

I guess loosing your head may not be the worst thing, it looks like the guy next to you was skinned alive!!

Say Terry: Good to see both of you, 'Hats off to your son and may God keep him safe'!
You/his faithful Lab seems to be enjoying both of you.

Is your son interested in model railroading too?

Fine boy (MAN!) ya got there! Hope he has a BORING tour very boring no noise is good if ya get my drift. Sometimes I wish I could still go do that stuff and then I PUNCH myself in the face for such foolishness. Did my bit. He looks smart, he's not in the Infantry then? GOOD! We don't "adjust" so well to civilian thinking patterns after service. Recovery time is longer than other MOS's. It's the training. If he IS Infantry, tell him I said to "Embrace the suck" and he'll be fine. LOL(little inside baseball for ya)

My bad , I was looking at turnouts after I bought that engine and I called it a peco LOL NOT!!! It is a PROTO duh!!!!(frikkin NOOB!)

NG, he is out now. Was 11B, 1st Arm, 4/17 Inf. out of Ft. Bliss. .50cal turret in a Cougar, Grunt out of the truck. Medically discharged , injuries received,not major. Hip.Ended up non-deployable. He fought that til the end. Broke his heart, wanted to make it a career.Went over a PFC, came back a Specialist. He was awarded a Navy commendation. He, another Spec and their SFC were put in for the Bronze Star. SFC got that, they got the Navy awards. No details given. " Did some stuff with Navy/Marine guys".
He is doing great, but misses the life and his buddies. Talks stuff out with my older brothers( his uncles) both 'Nam combat vets.Thanks for your comments and your service!

Garry, I will pass along your comments,also. Thanks!

Time for Church. I have a lot to be thankful for!! LOL!!
