Loco Roster

^ thanx. The Alco, does it have a model number? I love the shape of the nose.....the indent where the road number is located just sets it apart from your normal kinda nose ;)

i can not tell from that angle if you can take a more focus shot on the engine maybe i or sum one else with knowledge of ALCO can tell. I think A RS model im not sure

Added a pair of UP SD50's but will be doing a CSX shell swap on them and selling the complete UP shell's and traded a NS Genset for a undec from Wheeler.

Here's the current roster for my freelance operaton and some of its subsidiaries.

Branch Line Railways Corporation
BL Name/Scheme

#2 GE 25T - for shop use
#9 GE 70T - Light yard duties and Inspection car service.
#12 ALCO S2 - Road service
#23 EMD SW1200 - Road service
#27 EMD SW1200 - Road Service
#42 EMD GP7 LN - Road service, stored operable
#44 EMD GP7 HN - Road service idler, stored operable
#61 EMD GP40 - Road service, stored operable

#81 EMD MP15DC - Road service
#90 EMD F7B - Booster/generator unit, stored.

Western Branch Line Railways (early diesel era BLR units)
WBL Name/scheme

#21 EMD SW1 - Stored operable
#30 Baldwin S12 - museum display @ Goldfield station grounds

BL Corp wholly owned subsidiary units...

Dominion Coal Works (DCW)
#3 GE 44T - industrial service, stored pending repairs.
#4 EMD NW2 - stored pending repair (old Varney model).
#5 EMD GP7 - road service, stored operable.

Chemin de Fer de St. Laurent (CFSL)
#12 EMD GP9 LN - Road service, stored operable.

I am thinking that for the future I may retire the many 17 year plus aging units currently on hand and begin looking to purchase some second hand MP15ACs or other more modern yet smaller motive power. I have thought about some rebuilt GP units of some sort (I kind of like the look of the GP30s) but my railway subdivision is not large unit friendly due to tight curves, so things need to remain short and agile. A GMD-1 is scheduled for transfer from the Red River & Fort Rouge Railway (my Dad's layout) for use on the BLR Meridian Sub but the problem remains with replacing or my aged units that are not the greatest runners. The newest unit in the roster was purchased in 1993.

^ Wow! Nice addition Kevin.....say,what happened to the front handrails? Beautiful loco.

As for the transatlantic railroading....if it wasn't for Jerome, Jay & mostly Kz9
( Kellan ), my hobby would've never grown to where it is today......Less than a year ago, I only had a GP9 & a SW7...with 9rolling stock pieces......now: 14 locos,154 rolling stock & countless switches, a nice size layout & to much track to count ;) All n all I couldn't have done it without Model Railroad Forums.com Thanx guys ;)

Here's a picture of my latest addition--an Atlas Silver C40-8CW. It was #6150, but I patched it to NS #8407 with Microscale decals, added a Soundtraxx Tsunami sound decoder, and weathered it. This picture was taken before the weathering, but all and all it turned out pretty sick...
Very happy with it.

they where already broke off when I bought the enigne. so i'll be looking for some hand rails later but cant beat that it was only $30 at a train shop. also got some coal loads too for cheap.
