OHHH how I miss my Mk1 Rabbit GTI! Mine had a few GO-"faster" parts on it when I bought it. Little things are 5-speed Go-Karts with doors!
Well, model railroading and railfanning has been with me since as long as I can remember. And dabbled in building model cars and airplanes when I was younger.
Have always owned a camera! From as far back as '87-ish(7years old) with my Transformers plastic point-n-shoot that took those "reel"? cartridges! Now have a Canon Rebel XSi digital.
Others through the years,
-raced R/C off-road cars- had a local dirt track and held weekly points series races
-paintball- played on a 5-man amateur tournament speedball team
-I fish and camp as much as I can
-fish tanks- currently have a bluegill and a channel cat that I caught in a tank right beside me.
-I dont have means to support my own race cars, but help wrench on a few- a 6300lb 4wheel drive Chevy Duramax that we've ran 11.73 in the 1/4. and help guys with dirt oval cars, a Super Late Model, and an Open-wheel Modified
and I am an avid computer gamer, FPS games, strategy games from time to time, a WW2 naval game, and I let my nerd flag fly with WoW
oh, I can include carrying on of the collecting of novelty cans and bottles and railroad art and collectibles from my dad. including 2 TPW dwarf signals (yes, real life signals after they were replaced in the yard) Frisco engineers seat, number boards, milepost signs, lanterns, 2 brake wheels...
This poster is an (as far as story that I remember) impromptu pen and watercolor work od artist Ron Hatch for the 1973 NMRA meet in Galesburg, IL. From what I remember of the story, there was little advertising and nothing noting anything else going on, so he sat down and whipped it up on the spot. He is also the same artist that did the BN U30Cs in the first painting. That was dad's most prized possession!
