Weekly Photo Fun 3-27/4-02

That close-up macro mode is why I bought it. I found it on sale at Office Max a while back. The digital zoom is out of this world!

it sure does take some mighty close pictures. i'm an avid photographer. and most of the time, its landscapes so i'm happy with my camera too. whats the optical zoom? i have x10.

It's 3X optical, 4X digital, ISO up to 1600 for low light shooting and 8 megapixels so it can produce prints up to 16 X 20 inches. I have it set on 5 megapixels.

took the 2-8-0 out for a run today on the clubs layout. It pulls pretty good for its size. It was pulling 29 freight cars an made it up every grade without much wheel slip. I added about a 1/2 oz of weight in the cab roof so that was helping the traction

Picked up these beauties last sunday and yesterday.

ohhh. i have 9MP, ISO up to 3200, x10 optical and digital. my pictures still to come up blurry if i try to take one real close. but it's not a big problem.

It's weekly photos now, not weekend? Mine are mostly weakly :D
I finally got the engine shop mounted on the layout then realized I added details before painting the concrete and weathering the rails... D'oh!
The guy with the shovel is Finnegan, looks like he left the hydrant open again!

Sunny day, no modelling but some shots taken outside of the turntable, Its true what they say you just cant beat natural sunlight !!

We just started revenue service to Anderson Lumber, in East Berkmannville. It's a nice building, constructed in about 1964 from a plan in Model Railroader some time in the 50s. Now it's old-fashioned to be delivering coal this way (or at all) but oh well, Berkmannville's that kind of town.

My new AC6000 Paragon 2 gets acquainted with her Blueline brother #631. They're probably talking about the leftover blue polish after gleaming.

Trent, the 2-8-0 looks good out on the line hauling freight. I've been impressed with how much mine can pull also, even without extra weight.

James, looks like you had a field day, You got some nice rolling stock in that haul.

Rico, I'd never know you got the painting backwards if you didn't say so. Nice engine house and detail scene.

John P., Looks like a nice little industry. Nice weathering job on that concrete.

John T., those natural sunlight shots look really nice. The straight one shot of the engine approaching the turntable looks like the real thing.

Jeffrey, nice load of junk in that hopper. I'm sure Ezra must be happy to be able to climb up some real stairs now. :)

It was a nice day today, so I got a lot done in the garden.
