chooch, do you happen to remember the product number or name? I can't seem to find which A-line motor would work..

No I don't remember. Normally when I remotor something like that, I either eyeball it, or if is a real tight fit, I break out the micrometers and a Northwest Short Line catalog.

If the boiler is diecast, I've been known to dremel out enough room with a cutting bit, to make a slightly too large motor fit.
 
Nice variety of pics this week Gents!
I'm slowly narrowing down a track plan for the new mill!
The one in the first pic meets almost all my criteria, the other two are what it evolved from.
I still have two more structures to fit in.

From the right to the left is:
*main track from lower level which will include an abandoned second main
*siding (track 2) with #8LH switch to be added
*switch lead onto yard #1
*storage track onto yard #2
*woodchip unload track
*pulpwood unload track
The track alongside of the mill will be tank car loading/unloading.

Thats a sweet looking mill complex Rico. I like the 2nd version.

Why is the benchwork on the floor? Do you plan on raising it on legs?

It's on the floor for planning but it will be the upper level of the new layout when the time comes.

Gary B ...... Your city looks fabulous..... I'm not trying to compete at all, but if I was doing so, you would win. :D
