The long & short of it-48,000 vs 2225 gal tank cars

I thought this a neat contrast between the largest production tank and one of the smallest.

That would make a mess if it derailed
That is why production of cars this size were outlawed in 1970. An unfortunate coincidence, largest capacity cars when overall quality of rails was reaching its lowest.

Does anyone know if there is a model of the Rail Whale (eg. UTLX 83699) made? It wasn't as long as this one but carried 2000 more gallons.

Thanks to everyone for your comments.
OMI made a brass model several years ago. They show up on EBay once every blue moon.
The going price is $300.00 +. I sold mine for the same. There is another choice, Concept models. It's a kit that requires you to supply lots of parts and labor. Google them.
