I love that last picture. It is like a kid was out there doing the track planning, "I wanna go there!" and they just went straight in that direction crossing any and all tracks. (I know it wasn't a kid and I am sure it works great for them. Just seems like how a kid will pull his coaster wagon across the flower bed, over the curb, and across the dog's tail to get somewhere instead of using the sidewalk)

With that track plan you not only can access everything from everywhere...

...but you have the added excitement of infinite possibilities for collisions. ;)
 
I like the NZ picture. It looks like there was too much slack in the line, so they just decided to put it 'right here'.
