Hi everyone, I am Ric from South Dakota. I am on the railroad forums also. I have been looking around here for a long time, though i would make official and register. Train fan all around model real and in life.
 
Welcome to the forums, Ric. This is the best place on the Internet for model railroading with lots of talented and friendly people who are willing to help with anything related to trains. No question to simple or too complex for the people who populate this little corner of the world!:p
 
thanks everyone, un boxing collectables i have not seen in 20 plus years some of it. getting into the train stuff this morning. Found my new in the box spectrum engines and passenger cars. like being a kid all over. lol

im working on a small layout of the Volga Brookings area.

I'd have to say we really hijacked this thred.
now it would be really cool if you've been to Brookings.
 
Hey Ric, is the roundhouse still in Huron?
I recall there being a sizeable yard there as well?
 
yep the round house is still here, and now the Canadian pacific owns DM&E. The yard is just as busy as ever. I have lots of picture over on railroad forums from around the yard. I use the same name over there also.
