Wellll, now my daughter just got notified by Child Protective Services (CPS) that they want to talk to each of her children. The oldest daughter, 14 who is currently under a court ordered Child in Need of Services (CHINS) for being a run away, drinking, truancy etc., told her in home therapist that she told her parents she took a hand full of pills with alcohol but her parents wouldn't take her to the hospital. As the actual event occurred, she told her mother (my daughter) that and she in turn called the child advocate for advice because the actual pill event had occurred a week and a half prior according to the 14 year old. Now CPS is pursuing. I told my daughter she needs to hire an attorney. CPS plays a smoozing game to gather evidence and half baked facts. If those don't look good enough, they fabricate what they can with twisted statements from others who may know something or nothing at all about the issues at hand.
My son is a product of CPS intervention into my home when he was 17. He learned from them that he could be emancipated because I was overly strict, wouldn't let him drive the family car and I wouldn't let him smoke. He's 41 now and has spent over 80% of his adult life behind bars on dozens of DUI and petty crime related charges. He also has an illegitimate boy who my daughter is raising and he hasn't supported.
One of CPS's trophys.
