Dag gum times of day and afternoon naps really mess me up.
Woke up about an hour ago ~1900 thinking it was morning. At least I didn't start cooking some breakfast thinking I'd slept in. Done that before.
I was about to start in on some computer work when I realized it was still Saturday.
I'll save the work for tomorrow.

Man, talk about road trip memories from 30 years ago!!!
Thank God me and Chet never met on a "professional" level. i.e. him arrest me and take me to jail. I always took to not stand out. Just a single guy in my 85 Ford Escort out for some diving in the Keys - don't mind that cooler full of beer and that loaded AR-15 in the back.
I had Thorogood blasting all the way with a fully loaded cooler in the back.
To be honest, it's amazing I was never pulled over or hit a road block in all my travels in FL.
God must like me for nothing to have never happened. One of the last times I stopped for the weekend in Orlando at a buddy of mine's place. His neighbor was active state patrol. We got to talking and stuff. He advised I keep that AR under wraps. But he loved the gun! I think
...never mind... PFC Harris just came for some drink and intellectual conversation....

Same Ol' Buzzard
Good Morning All. 56 degrees and overcast with the high maybe going up to 70. It did reach 72 yesterday, finally. The cool front is only going to last one more day, then back to the 80's tomorrow. Wasn't actually much rain in the morning so I was able to do some gardening and veggie freezing most of the day. Picked onions and green peas. The cool weather and rain will give me another round of spinach today, before the heat forces it to go to seed (already started). Same with the broccoli, still hanging in there. Little green tomatoes everywhere. Beets will be ready for harvesting later today if I have time. I only set foot in the train shed for the occasional beer!
Justin - Dirty wheels don't usually cause derailing unless they are really dirty. Could be that you picked up some stray plaster (or whatever) from the road building that made the wheels jump. Glad that you resolved it anyway.
Nice work on the caboose.
Sherrel - Regarding the do not call quote, it's OK, Terry seems to be an all right guy in my view.

Beady - Good that you know your limits and live by them. I overextend a bit and pay later, either physically or monetarily.

I'll have to look for those root beers, looks like they could hit the spot on a warm afternoon, not that I would give up my regular beer.
Kinda late this morning. I was actually out in the train shed for a few hours before I came in and switched on the computer. I'm headed back until the dew evaporates and outdoor fun begins. Oh wait! This is Sunday and Mass awaits.

Good morning. Happy Pentecost Sunday. 56°, mostly cloudy and windy this morning.
The past week has been extremely busy and stressful... Took two 20 Cu yard dumpsters to clean out the MIL's 60+ years of accumulated treasures. Three days of intense work to move some of her furnishings to her Assisted Living Apartment, and to my garage. The rest of her stuff will go to a Liquidator, or the Salvation Army, Her car to a scrapper. This week we need to do some work around our house and yard, while arranging for activity at her place.
We finally planted most of our vegetable plants and seedlings yesterday. Tonight the forecast temperature is in the low to mid 30s. Need to protect the garden overnight.
Prayers for all who need them. I really haven't had time to follow this forum for days now. However, another couple of weeks and the MIL's affairs will be on auto pilot, and we can turn our attention to our own affairs. As it is, I'm already scheduling stuff for June...
