Hello---nice forum! I have an interest in trains, my last actual layout was
as a kid with an old Lionel O guage steam locomotive I think a 2-6-0 with
a Pennsylvania coal tender maybe. I grew up in western Mass near a junction
on the old Boston and Albany line which was used by NYC when I was a 10
year old kid in 1963. Then along came Penn Central then Conrail and finally
today I think CSX is still there. I am retired and in Florida. I also remember
going for rides on the Mowhawk Trail which was near a line that was used by
B&M back in the 60s. Now I just do a lot of modelling, mostly 1/72 aircraft
and some 1/24 cars. What I am currently interested in is maybe doing a few
"static" diesels from back in the day. I am going to do an HO Athearn GP35
in a short line livery and then maybe an F7A B&M unit. Been looking at some
better quality undecorated, non powered units that I can repaint and decal
as needed.---John
