L-shaped benchwork

Many moons ago I drew this plan. IMO it looks better than the previous one. But it is a single track layout. Any advices and comments ? Thanks.

This one has the same problem in two spots, where your innermost curve meets the two end curves which turn the opposite direction: you have the two curves meeting directly end to end, which is almost guaranteed to cause derailments.

It's almost mandatory to have a straight section between two opposing curves, and the usual recommendation is that the straight section be equal in length to the longest car you plan to run. You can fudge this a bit--a shorter section can be made to work if you aren't running fast--but longer is still better.

The problem with a direct end to end meet of the two opposite curves is that the car's coupler swings (from side to side) will fight one another. Even if you can get through without problems, the next car might go off the rails--it's more difficult to pull through the transition the longer the train gets--and there is going to be a huge visual jolt in any case, which makes things look very "toy like."

I think your other plans have avoided this problem so far.
