Kato's F-2's are listed on E-Bay

Kato's new F-2's are listed on E-Bay today at a pretty good price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KATO-COMBO-...663568?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c412eb210 I.........MUST.........HAVE!!!!!!!!!! Wonder how long before they are available at a LHS?

Sure do look beautiful and I plan on having at least one set!
If you don't mind using the auction site, it says they are available now. As far as how long before they filter down through the chain to your LHS, as good as mine is your guess.

I'm familiar with that eBay seller. They don't budge much on that "make an offer" deal. Might knock $10 off if you're lucky.

You may want to keep the Ebay option open, just in case your local pusher has trouble getting them, so you have a fallback plan.

I plan on waiting and getting them from my LHS. At least that's my plan. :)

Are you waiting in order to "help out" your LHS? If so, that's admirable. But if you really want a set and have money set aside, you may be better off getting them while they are actually within reach. [Don't ask me how I know this...]

Yeah, that's been in the back of my mind.

First glance and I would swear they were F3s. They don't even have the chicken wire running down between the port holes like early F3s did. Then I saw the number boards that look more FTish than F3, but other than that, what is the difference between an F2 and F3? Is CB&Q the only road that had them?
