What sort of help are you looking for? The Rivarossi cars will be a "full"great set of 8 cars. Do the Walthers match the Rivarossi, I mean are they also passenger cars. If so it does seem odd they wouldn't match road names. An Erie Built is probably a Proto-1000 unit. Very nice running unit.

Need more information like a set #, or photos of the boxes (if original boxes) with the pertinent info. Pictures of the contents would help.
You can get rid of anything on EBay, or you could enjoy the hobby.

Where can I get rid of them and are they worth anything
If you don't want to take up the hobby....And that would be a pretty nice start....

From what I can tell there is nothing that is really collectable or valuable there (not like a 1936 Lionel new in box set). These are just common model trains.

The Rivarossi sets and the FM unit are going to be worth $50 - $100 depending on condition and road name. The road name is the paint scheme on it. Example in the images below the passenger cars are Pennsylvania and the locomtive is Santa Fe. Some road names are more sell able than others.

The other two items you mention, there isn't enough information to even guess as to what they are.

So if the time and effort of posting on ebay is worth $150-$300 post away. There is a buy=sell section of this forum you could use. You could find a railroad related museum that might take them. Otherwise there are is probably a Salvation Army thrift store out there that could use the donation.

Unfortunately, it looks like the OP was only interested in one thing when he posted.
