HO motive power u use.

Now the track is clean, and the Handi-Wipes on the Centerline cars look like they're covered with tar, the MOW train has been stored on a spur, the two waiting freights have arrived at their respective terminals, and freight operations have been suspended for the day so the 611 can pull an excursion train unimpeded. It's very considerate of the ES&BM's management to go the extra mile for the public relations department.
(actually, once the excursion train gets on the rails, there's no room for anything else...)

On the layout right now are two SDP40F's (1 with Athearn chassis, the other with P2K chassis), two Bachmann GP40's, Two Atlas GP40 chassis with Bachmann shells, two Bachmann GP30's, one Athearn GP40, One Athearn GP38-2, one Athearn F7A, one Bachmann 4-6-2, one Bachmann 4-8-4. In the display rack there are four Athearn F7's (3 A's, 1 B), two P2K FA chassis (1 with Bachann FT shell, 1 with Athearn F7B shell), three Athearn P's (1 A, 2 B's), one P2K SW1200, one Athearn SW7, one Athearn SD40, one Athearn SD40-2, one Athearn GP38-2, one P2K GP38-2, one P2K PA1, four P2k E units (1 E6A, 1 E6B, 2 E7A's), 1 MDC RS2, 1 Athearn SW1500, one Bachmann FTA, one Bachmann 4-6-0, one Bachmann 0-6-0, one Mehano 2-10-2, one Athearn SD9, one Atlas SD24 rebuilt to SD27J, one Atlas GE U30C rebuilt to U30M-R-EM-645, and I'm not diving into the storage boxes to list the 30+ locos in there. In all between 70 and 75 locos. I'm not even going to start listing rolling stock. My Social Security would expire before I finished.
As of yesterday I'm adding 2 Bachmann GP7's to the list.

2 gp40-2
1 gp40 high nose
2 gp40 low nose
2 gp38
1 gp18

1 gp9 slug
3 sd40-2

1 u23b
1 u33b
2 gp35
1 4-8-4 j class

I think that's it....

Very good. A nice Rivarossi B&O sadletanker. Maybe tomorrow it will push 2 or 3 oar cars.

Thanks, top...:)
That's the first shorty mining car, but I'm working on some more. I get cheap used gondolas on ebay, cut out the center sections, paint them, and install Kadees...

Geeez all you guys have lot's of engines. It'll take me years to catch up. ;)

It all depends on what you model. It took me 22 years to get what I have because they don't come out often with the Canadian models I need for the year and place I model especially steam locomotives.
I'm hoping some day Overland or Division Point will make the following: CLC FM H12-64 road switcher, MLW FA2, 0-12 Class 0-6-0, Class J-7a 4-6-2 Pacific, and a F1b 4-6-0 then my locomotive roster will be complete; hopefully within the next ten years.

I have:
Steam
Rivarossi 4-8-8-4 Big Boy, #4007 http://abpr2.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?june10/06-15-10/UP4007_Steam.jpg
Bachmann Spectrum 2-10-4 Texas, #5016 http://books.google.com/books?id=3E...AEwBA#v=onepage&q=2-10-4 Texas, #5016&f=false
Bachmann 4-8-4 Northern, #806 (Greyhound scheme) http://www.steamlocomotive.com/northern/up806-full.jpg
IHC 0-8-0 switcher, #4451 (although it should be UP #4500)
Bachmann 0-6-0 switcher, #4432
Bachmann 0-6-0 in Greyhound scheme with Vanderbilt tender, #4441
0-4-0 docksider engine, make unkown, no #

Diesel:
Athearn SW1200 (needs painted and numbered)
Athearn SD7, #457 http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=58877
Athearn Lil Hustler (cute little thing), no #
The diesels all have those pesky steel wheels. Gonna replace them with NS one of these years.

Plus a bunch of other ones---:eek:

As you can see--I have a few here---:)

Right now the 2 torpedo tubes are sitting at Exceda Yard waiting for clearance to go South to Williston while there is still daylight and RDC's 1006,1012 are just leaving Williston for Exceda and points beyond. RS3 3365 is sitting at Anson Spur with about 12 hoppers behind it and one of the brass doodlebugs is being used as a touristy thing--

I love the local railroads and there managements decision to give the Hi Ball to the excursion train . Very much like my own PGW.

And they finish very nicely

Hi frank, :)

Just turned out another one...

IMG_4325.jpg

Really lucked out on this seam in that the original paint and markings can be retained. I offset the cut towards one of the double ribs so that the center row of rivets stays clean and neat. At 25 scale feet, it's a little longer than the first one.

Is it possible to see a pic of your brass doodlebug.

For today

* For today, or till I get home, The Little People are or their own. I will have to get my mother in law and wife and it is off to PA to my sons house to see my new Grand Daughter, and see how my sons new layout is coming along. Here are some photos of it last time I was there.

Well right now I have a 2-8-2 mikado and an 0-8-0 switcher in the round house. A GP7 just left the yard with a local and a SW-9 is breaking down a freight train that just arrived. There is a west bound 2-8-2 mikado from Newport News Va. arriving at Clifton Forge Va. the next time I operate. There is also a West bound GP9 in route to Russell Ky with a short freight. I have a 2-6-6-6 H8 Allegheny, 2-10-4 Texas, 2-8-4 Kanawha,4-8-2 Mountain and a RS4. On the ready track waiting their orders. Almost forgot a 2-6-6-2 Mallet making a mine run returning with 22 loaded cars. And a 3 truck shay on the J&M R.R. picking up 2 Box cars from the C&O.

That's a busy layout.

Care to share any pics of the switcher at work?

Update, the H8 #1633 is going to pick up a caboose and head out eastbound to get a string of 34 loaded coal cars from JE minerals mine #127. As for zoegraf's request
