It took forever, but it's done. Thanks for looking.

Stellar work, as always. I have a couple of these hoppers to fix up one day, who knows if I'll ever get around to it. Yours is an inspiration!

The weathering is great!!! Not over done, but very effective.

Bobby, please share your weathering methods with the forum members.

Thanks.

Greg

Wow very nice, would never have known what it started as if you didn't say!
And yes please show us how you do what you do...

Thank you all for your kind comments. Weathering is not something I'm very good at or can explain very well. I used acrylics for the streaks using a stiff 1/4" brush. Powders were used on the walkway and ends, followed by Dull Cote. I can do much better than I can explain.

Regards, Bobby

Is this a Bachman Spectrum model Bobby, or did you install new etched walkways and wire grabs to a Silver Series? Is this the first commercial product you've done?

Tootnkumin, the only difference between Spectrum and Silver is the couplers and metal wheels. Neither have a metal walk or grabs. Go to page 4 under Locomotives and Rolling stock to see what I went through to build the car. I did the AHM Flexi-Flo before this car.
