This is the beginning of our layout.
Yes my camera is not dated correctly.unless his camera is off date, those pics were taken 3 years ago
The 4*8 in the photo was added on. I bought it off a co worker. That's a great space!
Are you building off of an older 4x8 or such layout? Looks like one in a few pics.
Its a foam rubber mat. Very easy to nail and drill thru. Glue also sticks very well to it.It looks like you are using foam rubber floor mats as a surface.
I would think it would be difficult to hold nails and drill through.
I'd recommend wider aisles, so its easier to walk around. That's based on experience. Other than that, looks great. What are the radii of your curves? Like to see how you develop this.
The aisles was one of our first concerns. They are wide enough to walk between the tables comfortably. Our smallest radius will be 18" and the largest will be what ever we make with flex track. We don't have a definite track plan yet.I'd recommend wider aisles, so its easier to walk around. That's based on experience. Other than that, looks great. What are the radii of your curves? No we do not have a track plan as yet. We are doing scenery on a small portion of the layout right now that has some track down. We have a good idea on how the yard will layout. Due to circumstances we had to take down the tables about a month ago. We have a few back up and plan to put the rest up with in a few weeks.A good start. Do you have a track plan yet? As far as the isles go, we do have an issue with ours at the club. Some members are a but portly and some times you really have to suck it in to get by another operator.
