Walthers Valley Cement

I have the Walthers Valley Cement kit and was wondering what do cement plants use to fire the kiln. Propane? Oil? I would prefer not to use coal. The era and location I model would not be using coal, 1980s in Northern California. I looked at images on the internet and couldn't determine fuel sources.

This kit is meant for the more modern era from 1960 onward. In California like most of the rest of the west, it would likely be fired with propane or other LNG. A lot of it! I would use Walther's Propane tanks # 933-3129 to go along with it. Another source of freight for your railroad.

Oh, I thought you were referring to Walther's Goo, which is a great cement!
