Ill be listing these up on my website for pre-order later this evening.

There are no model photos at this time of the Super Chief series, only sketches at this time. But I remember when I was younger I had a Santa Fe Super Chief Lego Train Set. It was pretty neat, and besides Amtrak/Metrolink its the only Passenger Train that I like (im a freight train guy lol), which means I will most definitely be ordering a set of these for myself. I cant say they will ever get any use, but its just one of those things that i think would be nice to have and collect :D

The only thing I can hope is the silver finish is not as blue as the Superliners. Its neat, but not a good color match on the stainless to me.

I'm tempted to get some altho I'd get Athearn Genesis F7's with tsunamis. The quantum's that Walther's uses can't really compete with the tsunami in my humblest of opinions.

Couldn't the Tsunamis be put in the Walthers Fs along w/ Railmaster Hobbies speakers?

Please post what info you come up with. Might be I'll need to add another passenger train to the collection.....

Maybe Walthers will never do your 3 because they will sell more Santa Fe's than all 3 of yours combined!

That may be true because they have "bean counters" too. They after all, are businessmen, not modelers. Nothing more, nothing less.

But that doesn't mean I still can't dream, that someday a road I model won't someday have a premier train available off the shelf! Something tells me that we'll see them bring out yet another F7 before I see my dream train happen.

I you want to see it in your lifetime you'll be BYOT (building your own train). LOL

Walthers's seemed to be concentrated on their Broadway Limited train this year - they did have a nice diorama with the LAUPT set up on it. But it was showing off their UP City cars and single-level Santa Fe cars.
