Today was Vermont's model train show in St. Albans. A small show in comparison to others, but bigger (at least in appearance, anyway), than it had been in the last few years.
A couple small layouts to the right of the picture and a kiddies corner to the left. Would have been nice to see a few more retail vendors and less "yard sale" tables, but that seems to be the way of things now-a-days.
Some highlights of the day, for me, was this Lego layout:
LOVE that dozer!!
And the Thomas Graveyard:
This was set up as an advertisement for the Montreal show this June. So, if you want to see it in person and happen to close enough to Montreal...
And a gratuitous picture of my little one driving the John Deere train. He loved making it go slow (I forgot to ask the owner what control system it used. The slow speed action was fantastic!).
At the end of the day, my haul looked like this:
All for just $33.00!!! (Not including the loco...)
The Rapido Loco was too good a deal to pass up with a local livery theme. I haven't put it on a track yet, but been having a great time just reading the manual. Seriously, if you've never read a Rapido manual, it's nearly worth the purchase price of the loco by itself.
