Use of the HORN?

Thanks WJLI26! Do you know what page "Use of the horn" is located? I should think that you who were involved in real railroading would have great use for the GCOR. Great arguments could be started and won by those of you in the know! I felt it was much easier to ask those in the know how to operate the horns on my sound equipped locos. My guess is I could spend an hour looking through my copy of "East 19-Copy 3 to find the answer, too.

I know, I'm a smart ___! However, I do appreciate your help!

Marc:

The GCOR book, is now set up like the Federal CFR49, than the traditional Rule Book. What you are looking for is found in section 5.0. Signals and Their Use.
Specifically, Section 5.3 Hand and Radio Signals; Section 5.8 Bell & Whistle Signals; Section 5.9 Headlight Rules.
I'm more comfortable with the NORAC Rule Book, used in the Northeast, but GCOR was/is used in your area of interest.

FWIW: Train orders, and signal systems are further back . Check the contents pages. Lots of informative leisure reading there.
