Storing your locos

Next question...how are you guys storing your locomotives? The boxes mine have come in (Proto, Athearn Genesis, Bachman) all come in boxes where they fit so tight, it's wearing on them to pull them in and out. The details on these things are really amazing! Even leaving them in the engine house still collects dust on them. I don't want them to rattle around in a loose box either.

There was a thread just started about this in General Discussion, not sure if you came across it or not. I generally leave them in the factory boxes too if I have one. Those that don't have a box I leave out on the layout.

For locos, I put them in a Kato clear plastic box, then the box goes into a green Kato type 213 case and slipcase, which then goes onto a shelf. Rolling stock goes into a lined clear plastic box and put into *the* rolling stock cardboard box.
