You're more than welcome to ask questions. None of these scenes are anywhere near finished. The odd stone structure is an interesting industry in history.

Are you planning on putting the gensets on the storage lines like the IRL railroads, or keep running them?
They are off the layout. Ironically. They replace 1415, and 1500( which isn’t in the pic). Both those units have taken over their old assignments, that the gensets were supposed to take over from them.

Could we see pics of #1500?
Love your modeling by the way.
Very enjoyable to see.

Would also like to know more about locomotive 1499, if possible. :)

1499 is a HH GP30. bought brand new (P2K) assigned MOW service with the back story it is the last of a fleet of 30's and manage to survive. Hence the paint job. It joins two U33C and a U34CH in dedicated MOW service. No sound unit onboard and a hardwired NCE DSJr decoder.

1500 is a GP38-2. Athearn blue box Heavily detailed and assigned local service. It is actually the first loco to lead to todays railroad. dating back to 1992. This paint scheme is unique to only four gees. the first four. A gp50 and two GP40-2-s. all still work the layout. This one has a NCE DSJr decoder. and was repowered. the motor went and two Stanton trucks installed. It sits a little high, which will be corrected someday. Like 1499, it backstory is one of once a mainline unit moved to a service. only this isn't the only 38-2. it is just the very first locomotive that lead to the fleet of today. It does have two sets of horns. and a light weathering.
