I went to visit some friends on Baseline Road in San Dimas a couple of weeks ago. Next time I go there, I can try to take a picture of the house you lived in for posterity...

And that layout is pretty cool. Is it really in San Dimas, or is that just what it happened to wind up being named?

Cool:cool: I was born(Hatched) here on the SW Corner house on Delancey Ave and Payson St. http://www.bing.com/maps/default.as...dir=0&alt=-1000&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1 The park was nowhere near as big as it is now:eek:

Then we live here....Not the big house but the little one to the left of it! http://www.bing.com/maps/default.as...dir=0&alt=-1000&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1 Ed Nelson us to live down the hill from the house....Looks like his ranch got turned into a housing devlopment:(

Very nice indeed. Even the layout building is attractive. I love that old Shay half buried in the dirt. I used to live in Pomona and Diamond Bar. It was nice when I first moved there in 1966 but we got out in 1977, when the smog, crime, and traffic became overwhelming, not to mention the brushfires that kept attacking my house. :)

The two places are about a mile or so from my friend's house. They live on Baseline, across 210 from where you were born.

Wow that is nicely done. I can empathize with you about the trees. When I had a layout (WestSide Lumber) I had lots and lots of trees. I had friends and friends wives over for tree building time. It was great fun. It was also a pain in the butt to keep the track clean.

Ummm.... this is the first layout I looked at, (since I am new) and all I have to say is WOW!!!!

That is absolutely amazing! I was thinking about making a layout of Fort Wilderness Campground RR, but I could never make something that looks that good!!!

Thank you. If you think you can't, you won't. But on the other hand with some positive thoughts and some practice you just might.
I just visualize it in my head and then create it on the layout. I knew what the whole thing was going to look like before I started. That's the other thing, have a plan.
