Morning folks

Actually managed to pull up the site today. Thanks Bob!

My apologies Flo for the lost business. I spent yesterday in the garage working on a few parts (rehabbed steering knuckles) for the 68 CJ 5 (Old Blue) and then took it for a spin behind the house with my trusty co-driver.

I made an unpleasant discovery this morning.
Where I live, I am on a metered connection for my data. Last June, I paid to download nearly a terabyte of data for my purchased movies and tv episodes, so I could watch them later without continually hitting my data limit.
This morning, I tried watching one of my previously downloaded episodes,
and my computer couldn't locate it. I then pulled up the drive, and my 2tb drive was nearly empty.
I "knew" I'd downloaded the stuff, and had the bill to prove it.
It turns out Windows 11 has a setting buried in it that deletes data you haven't accessed lately. It's not storage sense, it's a new "feature" to help save you from something. I turned that feature off, and hope it doesn't get turned back on again in the next update.
In the meantime, I have a terabyte of movies and tv shows and games to re-download, and pay to do so.
I've got an external 5TB hard drive, and I store everything I want to watch on that, Microsoft Cloud is just that, a cloud, any puff of wind and it's gone. I'll decide what needs to be deleted and when not some shiny-arse engineer in Washington.

Also, I've been pestered to "buy" more storage on Microsoft's One Drive as I've "exceeded my 5GB free storage", strangely, when I check the actual storage I'm using it's less than 500 MB. Microsoft has some wonderful engineers I'm sure, pity none of the buggers can count.

I get those email almost constantly. First problem is, I delete One Drive from every Microsoft product I own, so I know there is exactly 0.0Gb stored with them. That's also why I was so surprised when "Windows" arbitrarily decided to remove my content without my knowledge or consent.
Second is, if you look closely at most of those "Microsoft" messages, they come from some weird email address in India, and he name "Microsoft" or "One Drive" is simply what they chose to call themselves that day.

Morning All -- mostly another sleepless night punctuated with trips to the loo seems like every 30 min to an hour? I don't know what is in that Chemo, but 9-10 hours afterwards my kidneys seem to want to flood the world?
It is peppering water down in a steady amount enough to run the street gutters. We have had a great "wet" season this year - twice as much as "normal". Sure is going to mess up the Easter Egg kiddos.

The CR-V did not get repaired yesterday. After making all the arrangements for taking it in and the daughter taking MOH for her scan - and me headed another direction for the Chemo like a dummy I had cleared the codes and they did not come back on. We will have to wait on that again - I pray that it will wait until after the weeks radiation up in the Ontario area.

The Spousal Unit is planning for 12-14 folks for Easter Sunday dinner. It will e the first time that the remaining family will be together in several months as everyone seems to be on different tracks all over the place all the time.

FRANCINE - We have not heard or seen you in a while on the weekends. If you would, please, see if MEL will make me a BLT with lots of Avocado and perhaps some extra bacon on the side with a cola to drink? I will be over by the window watching the train switching happenings.

We had a brief discussion regarding Duran Duran a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to look up ticket prices for it and a few other concerts at the Winstar Casino, just 22 miles up the road. I haven't actually been to a live concert since the early 90's because I didn't want to exacerbate my hearing loss any further, so I wasn't aware of going ticket prices. While I never cared for Duran Duran, I noted that "nosebleed" tickets were $229 each, heading up to a max of $699 each! Wow! So I looked up Heart who will be there in about another month and wow again. The "nosebleed" seats were $239 @, going up to $739. The biggest name on the current schedule is Stevie Nicks on May 10th. Her tickets start at $659 @ and go up to $1259. Even if it wasn't for my hearing, I could not fathom paying that much for any of these three performers for a single ticket. Back in the day, I think that the most that I paid for a ticket was $24.99 for Eric Clapton and the same for Dire Straits. And I thought that was highway robbery at the time! I don't remember what I paid for Heart tickets in 1977 in Ft Worth, but I'm sure it was under $12. This time at Winstar, Cheap Trick is the opening act, so it will be a good show.
I haven’t been in about 5-7 years but in the early and mid 201x I was trying to get my kids exposure and I would buy several tickets a summer. Mostly at the outdoor amphitheater and I’m the general admission grass seating, not the actual seats. We also went to a few at other more expensive venues.

I think the most I paid was $125 or so — low 100s for Joe Bonamassa and the 3 Kings tour and this was at the same amphitheater but in the third row or so if the seats (they didn’t do the grass seats for Joe). We also saw ZZ Top and Weird Al at a different venue (not the same night) and they were probably upper double digits each. Most of the amphitheater grass ones were between $10.35 (the station sponsoring it and their special cash only presale was 103.5) about about 40-50$. A couple may have been more in the 60-70$. Heart, Cheap Truck, Van Halen, Styx, Lynyrd Skynrd, mostly what I call Geriatric Bands, but we also saw Muse. Also Rush there for the Clockwork Angels tour and then again later at a large indoor place for their 40 Year anniversary and farewell tour. That one was probably slightly more expensive.

I paid $250 each for front row and meet and greet for Yes down in Mesa in 2014. My boss treated me to that and my son and I flew down and stayed with my brother for that show.

Oh we also saw Bela Fleck and the Flecktones a few times and Chuck Cores Electric Band was a dual headliner one of those times. Awesome shows. They were at the slightly more upscale outdoor place we saw ZZ Top and Weird Al at

I’ve not looked recently and there is no show I’d pay the kind of money Willie is reporting for those shows.

Afternoon All,

Started out the day in the high 50's but supposed to get to the high 70's today. Today I did a couple of chores then built the AMB switch machine for the tower. Slow day today. MOH and daughter are off doing women things and tomorrow daughter is hosting Easter supper at her house, of course MOH is cooking a lot of the food for it.

Karl- Great layout photos.

David- Our clocks were shifted weeks ago.

TomO- Nice haul. Are they yours or clients?

Bill- Very nice photo.

Willie- I don't like graffiti but you did a good job applying them.

Mike- Have a great vacation.

Grizzled- Great landscape.

Chad- I saw a bunch of concerts in the mid 70's in Mobile AL. My favorite was ELO playing their New World album. I saw Billy Joel in an orchestra concert hall that was only about 1/3 full. During the 80's I saw The Beach Boys in Honolulu. That was a fun concert.

Here are the nighttime shots of the two builds.

Willie, I'll guess you paid $8. That was what I paid for most shows at about that time. I used to have hundreds of ticket stubs I saved. I have since lost them.

You are right about Cheap Trick, they put on a great show. I saw them at the then named Baltimore Civic Center. I went to see the opening band UFO, but Cheap Trick was amazing!

Bands can be surprising when you see them perform live. I went to see Def Leppard; Black Foot opened for them and blew me away! I saw Marylin Manson at Ozzfest his band was amazing too. They had the entire audience, including me, mesmerized by the first four songs.

The first time I ever heard Disturbed was when I heard them warming up on the third stage at Ozzfest. They were unknown to most then. Once I heard them warming up. I was immediately drawn to the third stage; they too were amazing! When they came back out to begin their set the singer was in a straitjacket, I had never seen that before! He walked up to the microphone and announced, "We are Disturbed!"

I suspect you and I could talk for hours about the shows we have seen. That would be interesting to get an educated opinion. I only like what I like.

I always wished that I had had an opportunity to see Blackfoot live. I did see Def Leppard once sandwiched between the opener Scorpions and headliners Metallica. Every song in all three sets sounded the same except for the vocals!
Blackfoot put on as good a heavy metal show as almost any heavy metal band. I went expecting "southern fried" rock and was treated to a head banger show, I loved it!

Hi, I timed out twice trying to get in during the last 10 minutes. 3rd time was boom, right in…

Walked away from weathering this afternoon as just not feeling it. I will try again tomorrow morning as Terry wants to watch a movie tonight on Netflix that I said yes to!

interesting to see in Baltimore they have started clearing the bridge debris even though the missing victims are still missing. Just sad

Swam for about an hour late this morning with the granddaughter. She said Indianapolis was fun, her mom said no it wasn’t.

Dinner tonight is a Danish Pasty from the Red Rooster in Mineral Point, Wi.

Bored in Wi
