Rock Ridge 1891 again

Well this version of Rock Ridge 1891 has grown from 45" x 54" to 4' x 6'. In doing so I was able to add the mine back in as well as a turntable. I was also able to expand the G&D Stockyards (Owned by ranchers Al Gorre and Ben Dephetid.)

Track is still hand-laid. All turnouts are for all intents and purposes #4s and min radius is 18". There will most likely be 4 locos on the layout: old time 2-6-0s & 4-4-0 and a Climax A. Max rolling stock length will be 36'.

I guess I should have said. The whole thing is for show. Any perceived ops are there to give me a reason to build something. In the case of the mine, I have already built everything but the trestle. The cattle bins are there because I have already painted over thirty head of cattle.

The yard is working staging as there is nowhere for a train to go except three laps and back.

And turntables look cool. Especially those old A frames.

So, cool old trains running through cool scenery past cool structures getting dizzy on cool old turntables.

This is my starting point--54 x 42.
