Putting up my train set again.

Hi Guys,

I'm planning new construction on my shelf layout. Right now it is a point to point shelf layout with a peninsula. I'd like to add a loop on an "upper" level. If I can pull this off, I'll have more track elevated on hills and bridges, with the original track going into tunnels and under trestles.

Here are few shots showing how we set up the original layout.

Hi Kyle,

I like the layout, great pics. Is that an NCE power cab that you are using? Are you using a separate transformer to power the turnouts? I am just getting back into the hobby after 30 years of letting life get in the way. I am learning about DCC as well as other changes/upgrades since my sabbatical. I checked out your website...neat structures.

Interesting looking layout. Checked out the website. I see a lot of possibilities. Really looking good. Keep the pictures coming.

Hi PK,

I must admit that the stationary decoder I use is the SLICKEST. The Team Digital 8 controls 8 separate turnouts and can be programmed from the NCE Power Cab. It use track power, and has never caused any problems for me. It supports routes. So selecting 1 macro with the Power Cab will throw multiple switches, depending on how the macro was programmed.

Thanks to all for the kind words.... Kyle
