Putting the Blast in Blast Furnace


Can't blame it on the Supers. Ownership is always pushing for production to the point that it harms safety. Then when something goes wrong . S@@t always has a way of rolling down hill !!

In this case, some of the blame has to be on supervision. If they were being pushed beyond the bounds of what they knew was safe, they should have turned the company in to OSHA. OTOH, steel making is one of the most heavily regulated industries in the US so one had to wonder where all the regulators were that allowed the siutation to get this far.
