New to the hobby

Hi everyone.

I'm just getting started on my model railroad journey. I received the n scale Kato Silver Streak starter set for Father's Day to get my collection started.

My first layout is going to be the Woodland Scenics Scenic Ridge layout kit. I figured that would give me enough experience with the hobby to see if it's for me. I'm looking forward to chattin' about trains with everyone here.

You started off right, Kato is the gold standard in N scale!

Welcome. This is a hobby has a vast array of interests and specialties. If it's operations or watching a train go around a circle, running it right out of the box or taking a pile of brass and plastic and building it, it's all there.
