What you are looking for is a stationary decoder, they can be used to throw a switch using dcc commands. There are different types depending on what type of turnout machine you are using, (snap switches, or stall motors) Allso, turnouts can be completely automated by using opitical or block sensing, eg, they sense when the train is on a certain section of track and throw the switch in the position that you set up.
