My new Layout

Lynn excellent work on the station. Love the colours you chose and how washed the roof is.

Thanks it was a real joy to build and the roof color was a new technique I wanted to try.

Lynn, This may be easier than you think. You can contact him at his website. Include a photo of your work and simply ask if a fellow modeler could visit. He is a great guy, especially when it comes to this hobby. Might work. Jim:)

If Lynn includes a picture (supposedly of himself) as a long legged blonde, should be a cinch.

was this the same layout you had when you were at 2guyz? I saw this earlier and thought it looked familiar, some of the buildings and landscaping, and that was before you wrote me, this looks great!

Hi Charlie , its probably 3 layouts after 2guys , I figure that was back around 2008 . The structures are possibly some the same but alot of new through the years. This layout was started 2014 in Jan or so. Landscape changed although you will probably notice some similarities , I find with each new layout I tend to reincorporate parts of the old layout because I liked it.

I just went thru the entire thread, and WOW! Beautiful work....wish mine looked so nice!

Thanks Charlie. I don't have the time I use to have for modelling now that I'm not running my own business any longer so its slow going.

I think I pretty well have this structure completed. Onto the next unfinished build.

Thanks Jim , yes it should be on the layout in the wharf area. It is kit from Rusty Stumps. I started this one and a couple more from Rusty Stumps , I started them and really didn't like them but I don't like to start something and not finish so I will push myself to get through them.

Hey Lynn, those buildings look great.
Love the details of the building with its windows and shades.
Laser cut is my preference because I can paint every piece before assembling. With plastic buildings, you need a steady hand to paint the details and I'm not to good at that.
Well done

Thought I'd give an update of the couple structures I started a few years back that I finally dedicated some time to completing.

Leaving them across the tracks like that could result in what model aircraft hobbyist's refer to as "re-kitting." This is where a finished model suddenly and spontaneously reverts to kit form. The phenomena is frequently accompanied by phrases you don't want your 5 year old learning.

Starting to work on a new scene and completing this will give me better ideas for joining into the wharf scene.

Before I go any further I need to make a portal.
