Can anyone tell me what Kato means when they say...

(Low NB, 6-Step, Narrow HR)
(High NB, 5-Step, Wide HR)
(High NB, 6-Step, Narrow HR)
(High NB, 6-Step, Wide HR)
(Gull Wing Cab, 5-Step, Wide HR)
(Gull Wing Cab, 6-Step, Wide HR)
(Gull Wing Cab, 6-Step, Narrow HR)

NB is number boards and steps is how many there are up to the deck. Don't know for sure about the narrow and wide HR.

gull wing was the SF and BNSF style cab it was a little different from the UP/CSX/SP style cab.

HR i think is hand rails some were wider then others

Unsolicited info

The gull wing was at the request of ATSF, there were some clearance issues on some coal loadouts. The bevel allowed the locomotive to clear the chutes, and remain on the point of the train while it was being loaded.
