A few loads
James, great pictures, thanks. There has got to be an easy way to create 50 to 60 of the coils.

I have 3 different sizes. Two I tried to do as steel coils but just can't find the right color.Tom
I tried a few months ago to create some wire coil loads. At the time the attempts were failures but I have not given up. These look very nice. Can you get some close ups and post?
Never seen a driveway made of paper towels. If you look at post 714 you'll see them in a gondola.Need a size comparison with those pictures. Not sure if those are sitting on your driveway or on your desk top.
You're exactly right, I just think that it's a neat idea that could use some improvement.Doesn't seem to be a lot of skill there Willie. Just stick the bus on the flatcar then sit back and smile like it was a complex project.
Love the load but that pole yard is great.A couple of flat car loads at the substation.

Stood back to take a longer view and realized that I could easily justify a flat car bring in a load of poles to add to inventory. (along with a crane to off load - details never end.....)

The more that I look at the aluminum load, the more that I kick myself for never collecting aluminum and steel shavings from the tool and die shop when I was working at the plant.Shredded aluminum load.View attachment 161944
