Is this wide shelf layout possible

Just for the heck of it tacked down 1/4 circle of 10" R & was able to run an Atlas S-2 & Athearn CF7 w/ 40' boxcar around it back & forth easily. There were no derailments using Kadee 148 couplers. Couldn't do it w/ a 50' car though The LAJ has an 85 degree curve & a #3 switch. The narrow gauge Uintah Ry had 65 degree curves 0n 7.5% grades using 2-6-6-2s! So if the prototype can do it why not us modelers.

so if I use a 10", 12" and 14" radius, I can get a 3 loop system going on a 30" board. Just kidding but it would bel...ummmmm...unique?! Thankss for playin with the radius

Just saw this in The 10/03 Warbonnet article on the LAJ: "Minimum radius curvature for the Alco S2 was was 50 feet." But that is way less than a 90 degree curve!
