Iron fence

I'm tapping the brain trust.

I have a cemetery I need to fence in. The era is early 1940's, in the US. Chain link just doesn't have the dignity needed by the location. I'm thinking it needs to be some iron fencing.

Of these, #3 would be the easiest to fabricate. Just build a jig, bend and solder up some copper rods.

What are your thoughts?

I would have it etched. Then you could get a bunch done on a sheet. I was working these type of fences before but never got it etched. I was going to package and sell them but didn't know if it was worth it. Maybe I should.

Looks to me as if some Superglue and paperclips might work, but I'm more used to O scale on size.

Some of those items are very nice, but I don't want to have to hock the dog to buy them.

The paperclip idea is intriguing. Cheap, and it would have the added benefit of strength when it was stabbed into the ground.

Thanks for all of the replies!

Remember also that, at least sometimes, the fancy ironwork on the entrance road turns to chain link in the "boonies" of the cemetery, especially on a track way.

So you may need relatively little fancy iron fence.
