HO layout plan too large for my space

I found an HO scale penninsula layout that I really like, but it's too big for my space. My train room is a one-car garage that measures 12x19, but the useable space is 14x9. Any ideas on resizing and still keeping the 22" & 24"radius curves?

Here's what I have currently. It's two 4x8 tables with a 2x5 bridge between. I plan on tearing it all out and doing the plan above if I can make it fit.

That's a really compact layout to begin with. You'd be better off removing the peninsula. I would recommend making your staging area under the rest of the layout to save space, and add the ability to create more scenery. A 2% grade can get you pretty far on a 24" curve.

Post a drawing of your garage dimensions and maybe we can help you more.

It's hard to know what to tell you without your vision. what do you want to see. If you haven't read it, take 10 minutes and read my Beginner's guide to Layout Design. Click the link below.
