HO layout background height

I am currently starting construction of my benchwork. Plans are for modules of a maximum depth of 24 inches. It will be a free standing layout around the wall with potentially a peninsula. I am considering a backdrop with just a simple light sky blue color. There will be no background for the peninsula as these modules will be Free-Mo. My layout height will therefore be 50 inches to the railhead and there will be no elevations of consequence. So the question is what should be the height of the background? I have so far considered eye height.

This sounds very close to what I have. I would try to keep a background to at least 24 inches tall, especially if you are going to be taking any pictures. Here's an exammple. I tried to work the fore ground hardshell scenery into the background in this picture.

My layout is mostly around the wall anywhere from 24 to 39 inches deep, with a pininsula at just about the same height.
