Here's a structure that I am finishing up that will hide a hole through the backdrop where the track piereces a wall of the room it is in. The other end of the backdrop hole will probably be a tunnel portal. The single crossover will probably be a double crossover since the main yard on the layout will begin on this side of that building.

Here's the yard. The magenta block is where this building will be. The blue tracks are the Iowa Central and Eastern Railway which is on the left as it passes through the building. The pink tracks are the Artesian Springs railroad, a wholly owned subsidiary that is mainly a tourist line although it does have some freight traffic.
