I'm having trouble with my dcc locomotives on my club layout lately. Put them on test their fine .put them on layout a start n stop or shut off the dcc .part way run dc .could use in find why

Make sure your wheels are clean and the rails at the club are clean for starters.

I keep my track clean expect by area I can't reach by hand .have new train running Amtrak tomorrow with superliner cars

As Tom said make sure wheels are clean.
Id say second thing might be a loose contact or broken wire.
