Well it looks like my previous post did make it through. I based my new design on the Red Rock Northern layout as I mentioned but played with things to get them to fit in my slightly smaller dimensions and with easements and other things in xtrkcad. So far I'm happy with my new results.
The layout will be against a wall on the top and left sides. As layed out I will have double deck hidden tracks against the wall and need to figure out if hand access from below will be enough or I will hate myself for doing it. The original plans call for the upper layer to be exposed but I don't think I would like the look where the track heads into the tunnel in the top right corner when the upper layer is only 3.5' track to track. Seems like it would seem odd, so to alleviate that look I decided to enclose both levels inside the hill.
I was able to keep most radius above 24" but there are various grades with the largest around 3.5% I believe.
