Here are some photos of a diner that I kitbashed for my small HO scale layout. I started with an MDC 50' passenger car kit and scratch built a kitchen addition for the back. I made a base for the model with a brick foundation, concrete landings on each end of the car, and a concrete sidewalk out front. The kitchen and base are made from Evergreen styrene, the brick is JTT Ho scale brick sheet, and the roofing is Rail-Scale Models laser cut Ho scale 3 tab asphalt shingles. The handrails are copper wire, bent and soldered. I still need to add a vent for the kitchen roof and weather the model. Thank you.
