I just picked up a few used cars and on a couple of them they are missing a small metal piece that snaps down over a molded coupler box and pin . I don't know what brand of cars they are , I can not find any name on them . The piece that is missing is similar to the snap on top of a Kadee gear box . Does anyone have an idea of what I have and where I might be able to get these tops(retainers) ? Without them I don't really see a way to attach a coupler . Thanks for any input.

If the center pin has a slightly smaller top end diameter, I would say they are Blue Box Athearn. This was the cheapest I saw on ebay after a quick search http://www.ebay.com/itm/Athearn-HO-...449071?hash=item3d31ea61af:g:4~QAAOSw-vlVjZbo
