I went to the local train fair today,and got myself another loco. A Canadian Pacific AC4400CW.,made by Kato.Its the first loco I have, made by this company,and I,ve been impressed by how well it runs. Very quiet,very smooth,and pulls well from very low speeds.The only problem I,ve found, is the Kato couplers don,t always mate up to all the Kadee couplers on my other locos.Thats not too big a problem, as a change to Kadees is on the cards. The loco will make a good running mate for my Alaska Railroad SD70.
As far as I can tell, its a new loco,but the box looks a little store-worn, it cost me $125
