Attaching resistors to blue wire

I guess this is pretty basic but...

How do you solder 2 or 3 resistors to the blue wire of a decoder when installing more than 1 LED? Do you have to tap into the blue wire like you would track feeders to your 12 gauge main bus?

It would be nice to have a link for a video on basic electrical work.

An alternative, slightly easier (IMHO) approach is to put the resistors in the function wires [white, yellow, green etc] - It doesn't matter if the resistor is "before" or "after" the LED's.

Cheers,
Ian

If your using ordinary resistors instead of surface mounts, you can always just solder the other two resistors to the leg of the first one that's soldered to the blue wire if you have the room & haven't cut it too short...
