Anyone? I want to model a locomotive that has been heavily vandalized. I have easy access to it and can get lots of detail pics and measurements.

Hmm, I'll look into that. I just picked up a proto2000 SW9 in Conrail Blue, now I've got 2 projects. As for security. They tightened it up after this happened 3 or so years ago, razor wire and a big light to illuminate the compound at night, hasn't happened since.

You could always try these decals from Blair Line. They are on the thick side and don't want to conform over details without a lot of work, but they are usable.

I did this SP unit with them. It took a lot of work to get them down over the details.

If you want to try your own......

“Snoster” is the handle of a NYC graf artist who frequents the ModelTrainsWeathered forum,
Has provided some “how tos” there,
As well as regularly “bombing” O scale MTH/Lionel subway cars for fun and under commission,
And posting the results on YouTube
(He’s not a “Modeller” per se,
Nor a big “Train/Subway Fan”,
but just loves “weathering” cars in the style…)

Examples… (Turn your sound down, unless you want to hear old-skool NYC rap music while viewing… J ).

If you search Graffitti on your search engine & then copy the pictures to your own decal paper it's a lot cheaper. I printed up 4 pages of Graffitti on my printer for future projects.
If you have Print Shop you can do wonders w/your own designs.

Looks like the first picture was done by the graf writer hanging upside down from the engine. I don't know if you intended it to be upside down. Just an observation.

I don't see it, and I'm holding it in my hand. Either way, it came on the sheet that way, so that's how it went on.

It looks great and I don't think the average person would ever know. I wrote grafitti for 15 years growing up in the bronx and thats the only reason I could even see it probably plus I have the same decals. Just an observation but like I said it still looks great.
