Another Loco

While at the Timonium show this past weekend with the club layout, had some money burning a hole in my pocket.
I visited the white elephant table to scroung for some good deals. I found this Scale Trains Rivet counter C40-9 NS loco.
It's all programmed up, speed matched and ready for service.

Very cool looking locomotives. In late 90s went to Roanoke, VA few times to chase Norfolk Southern and to check out the Railroad museum. Those standard cab DASH9 were new then and i immediately took liking to them, as well as C39-8 and rebuilt C-Boats with ALCo looking humps behind the cabs. Too bad the FRA came up with weird safety requirements for the cabs and all new cabs on six axle diesels are wide now. I much prefer the standard cab with narrow nose look.

Yeah, I think the new design with the wider nose on the cab is to make more room in the toilet so the women would stop complaining.

Can you imagine? You're standing by the tracks with your camera, there's a.s hanging out of the cab and you get smacked by something wet?
