Amazing trove of color pix pre-WW2 -- valuable to modelers depicting late 1930s....

Mumbling in the corner
For those of us modeling in the 1930s, very little is known to be available in the way of color images to help guide our modeling.

But it turns out there was an ongoing project of shooting color in the late 1930s, not long after Kodachrome film came out, and those pictures are available to be seen on line.

There are collections here: http://webapp1.dlib.indiana.edu/cushman/browse/yearBrowse.jsp

and here: http://www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/fsac/

There may be others as well...

Thanks, some interesting photos. My Dad said that photos, movies and tv should be in black and white only. Color looked fake, he said. He got his first color tv when he couldn't find a black and white at Sears and when in high school I got into photography he thought my use of color film was a total waste and nobody would be interested in them.
